"Sorrento Sunset" is a commissioned Oil Painting of a beautiful sun drenched patio as the sun disappears on the horizon.
The sky is rendered using Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow, Indian Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna and Van Dyke Brown on the upper corners.
The distant rocky mountains consist of mixtures of Burnt Sienna with a touch of Alizarin and Van Dyke Brown. The large hill on the left is mainly Van Dyke Brown.
The water gradates from Prussian Blue to Pthalo Blue with Cadmium Orange and Lavender touches added. Waves were formed using Titanium with a touch of Liquid White.
The patio consists of Burnt Sienna with sunbeams of mixed white with a touch of Red. The leaves are variations of Burnt Sienna, Cadmium Orange, Alizarin and White over Van Dyke Brown + Black underpainting.
I wanted to keep this one for my private collection, but I will have to paint another one.
Gorgeous!
this is amazing! for the patio shadows did you paint the patio first and then paint the shadows over?
Really beautiful work πβοΈ
Thanks everyone for the nice compliments.
Shadowlink11, I did under paint the patio first. Then added the sun rays. Last but not least I added the grid lines in perspective.
Thanks
